If R66T members bring items for the "troop box" - I am sure that everything can be held on to until another box can get shipped - May, June or whenever...

The by-laws state in Article V. (A) - "  for holding at least one (1) Chapter event each calendar year..."

It doesn't say rally... just an event..

Jerry has already listed April as a chapter function..i think we had decided to pay for that postage..i just dont think the group can commit to $56 a month in postage though i am sure individuals would be happy to contribute to the contents of the boxes....even with the extra money, it will take quite a bit I imagine to put on the rally...but no sense debating it here...it will all be brought up at the meeting....

but the funds from the garage sale had been marked already to go towards our chapter event.....

The swap meet sale brought in $178.35

$352.35 total funds in account (patch sales, 50/50. sponsor funds, etc.)

         - 178.35  leaves still in the fund $174.00

Although the group agreed to make it a chapter acitivity and pay for the postage, i dont think the chapter can afford to pay the postage each month...we are paying for april's but I feel another one would need postage  paid with personal donations

As the R66T treasurer, I know there is over $300.00 in the funds. The group can vote on the postage and make a decision together and the majority will rule.

The "Troop goodie box" is all ready included in the newsletter, on page 4.

I will put in the newsletter so everyone will know that we are doing it again in May.
Hopefully, the members of the R66T will remember to bring a treat to put in the goodie box so the R66T can bring smiles to our guys and gals serving our GREAT USA!!!

Remember - "Threedom" is not free!

By the way, did you see that Paw has the "troop goodie box" listed under our Chapter projects? I think it is great that Paw has listed this!

Christmas in April! That is great! I am glad that the troops got the boxes of goodies in a speedy matter!

So how about it - the R66T group - are we putting together another goodie box at the May meeting? I will buy some stuff.

great news my son ian called at 5;30 am today (which is 3;30 his time)  and was very happy all 7 boxs made it there  and  his unit and him opened the boxs in the break room, they said it was like chrismas. as a mom i could in my mind see all there smiling faces, but the things they were most excited about were the trike magazines and would like us to send more and even have some that would like to build a trike when they come home, the unit of the 583rd medical logistics   and my son (ian) send there many many many many thanks to all of the route 66 trikes for there boxs of goodies, but most of all for all there prayers and support to the troops.
