 Robin, Ozark Mountain Trikers is an Ava chapter but we have held meetings in Mountain Grove, Seymour and now in Gainesville. It just happens where the majorty of the members want it. We live about 70 miles from Springfield and the one thing we voted on was the earlier meeting. We have horses and before it was7:00 pm before we got home. And Ryans food was gettingto expensive to eat.

I can see wanting to change the time and place, but the library center wafflw house is IN Springfield`

we were at the very first meeting and it was formed as a springfield chapter....we will stay a member of the international but most likely will not make the  move  to ozark......perhaps at some point we will again be allowed a springfield chapter

You know you I think that is a very good question !!
I searched all through all the By Laws of  ROUTE 66 and other related material and could not find a physical address for the Route 66 chapter; also I did not find any were that it said  that the meetings had to be held in Springfield. There have been meetings held everywhere. At pot lucks, Parties, trikeins & in communities all around the Springfield area. This is only my guess why it is called the Springfield chapter is that when it was formed and that it is still this way today is because that most of the members live within a 50 mi. radius of Springfield 
 To answer your question. Ozark location is more centrally located for the most of our members. A lot better time 2pm. instead of 4 pm. The food is better than the other place. You also do not have to order anything if you do not want to.
It was voted on at the last meeting that the Feb. meeting would be held at the time of the valentines party in Ava.

is a springfield chapter meeting in Ozark? Why arent we going to the belgian waffle across from the library center?
