I ended up not having to go to Florida the emergency straightened itself out....but I am leaving the 1st of Oct. to go to Georgia....I will be able to go to the two meetings even the one in Forsyth....I well know about rest areas as I lived in Florida when all the killings happened there at the rest areas...My son Matt that still lives there got a t-shirt with "Don't shoot I'm a Florida Native" I don't stop at any I only stop at truck stops...after all I used to drive truck. Thanks for the concern..
Be careful travelling around the country by yourself. Especially around rest stops on the hiways. I know a number of folks that were robbed and a couple of them were killed at rest stops..
Well it looks like I won't even be able to go to any meetings....as of Friday nite an emergency came up in Florida and since I was able to get my tires Saturday I will be leaving the 9th for there....you all have fun and I will be seeing you some day but really not sure when maybe around Christmas....
Gene, i didn't make the last meeting either. I was up in your neck of the woods.. Macks Creek at a family reunion. I hope to see you all at the trike in. It is always more fun when a BUNCH show up.. Wonder if Bud will make it?? I was at Jerry and Sheri's house last night, and Sheri was in a lot of pain with her teeth. She said she may have to miss part of the trike in due to dental appointments. I won't be able to go to either the OMT or State....I must get my truck completely ready for Oct. as I will be leaving to go to GA to see a friend with cancer....I will be at Tri Roller meeting on the 13th of Sept. and the R66T meeting on the 20th.
hay commodor, glad to see someones fingers still work.i was thinking everyone had forgot me because i wasnt at the last meeting,or thay was just trying to.ha ha fat chance of that.garnet & I are going to try to be at OMTs trike-in at least one day or two. garnet may have to work part of that weekend. we will know by tuesday.will let you know. gene
Hi Commodore. Quite a few of the OMT are going to the trike-in. The only ones we know for sure from RT66 are you and Sherryl, Sheri and Jerry and Hotrod. We really hope more are coming. Those that don't come will be missing a great time. See ya'll soon.
Hard to believe it has been six days since anyone made a comment on this site.. Seems like quite a waste to me.. How many folks are going to the OMT Trike In? Sherryl and I are going. Anyone else??
