Paw has to be correct. DJ and I have a book on "Route 66" by Susan Croce Kelly. On page 100, this is what is written - "Bloody 66 Hooker Cutoff Devil's Elbow, Missouri - it was a real thing. Devil's Elbow was supposed to be the death corner of the world. I remember my Dad would get white knuckles ten minutes before we'd go through there." quote by Bill Roseman.

Paw, you know quite a bit about the Mother Road. Maybe you can help with this.

I was reading the AMA Route 66 Run itinerary and the day they pass through Springfield (Tuesday May 15th) it says they'll "visit a quiet, forgotten place that drivers used to fear back in the 30's and 40's". Can anyone shed some more light on this?
