Gene and I took a trip over to Bennett Springs today. We found a resort right across the bridge from the park . The rooms are resonable and the people seem really nice. There is a restruant right there all rooms have refrig. and coffee pot. It is called Sand Spring resort. website is www.sandspringresort.com
Phone is 18005433474 for reservations. 2 people 1 bed rate is $55 and they have kitchen units if needed for 89$.
We also went by Ca Trikes one of our sponsors and told them about the trike in. I almost bought a new helmet it had pink butterflies on it . darn too small. told the guy i wanted one with purple butterflies or hummers. He plans on having more stuff by the trike in. There is 2 other motels not far away Bennett Spring Inn and Vogels Homestead Motel . They are about 2 miles away. Wasnt able to get phone or information from them Closed for season. I have heard there are several more motels on 64 between Bennett Springs and Lebanon, might want to check on those too

I called the Bennett Springs reservation number (877-422-6766) and the park ranger told me there was only one (1) site left in area 1 for May 1,2, for our Trike In. the weekend befor that, April 24,25 is still open for areas 2&3 which is very close so we need to make reservations ASAP to stay in the camp ground, here is a link direct to Bennett Springs to show the maps and campground details. I have been told also that the cabins are very expensive so check that info yourself for first hand knowledge.
