We are not going out of business! We are just closing our retail leather business and will no longer have walk in traffic. We are still operating our embroidery shop and online stores.
November 19th, 2011 at 10am The Ozark Leather Shop 1503 S. 3rd Street, Ozark, Missouri.
ANNOUNCEMENTS MADE THE DAY OF THE AUCTION TAKE PRECEDENT OVER ANY PRIOR STATEMENT, AD, COMMERCIAL, AND/OR PRINTED MATERIAL.
As you have probably heard by now, we are going to auction The Ozark Leather Shop, Saturday November 19th at 10am. WE WILL CLOSE THE STORE AFTER BUSINESS ON SATURDAY THE 12TH OF NOVEMBER, to prepare for the auction. For the past several years I have been fighting a loosing battle with MS (Multiple Sclerosis). My health is to the point now that I am ready to surrender. I just can't work the number of hours required to keep the store going. The Ozark Leather Shop has provided us with great joy these last 10+ years, as well as a good income. We are keeping the mail-order (internet business), as well as our custom motorcycle patch manufacturing business, so we have plenty to do.
The The Ozark Leather Shop will sell complete to the highest bidder, as long as our low reserve is met. Included with the store will be the name (The Ozark Leather Shop), leather inventory, all fixtures, equipment, etc. Everything you need to run the business. You will also get this website domain name ( www.OzarkLeatherShop.com ). This site (www.OzarkLeatherShop.com)has been up for years, and is listed well with google and other search engines. It will promote your store well and drive traffic to you quickly.
The person who purchases the Ozark Leather Shop will have access to my help putting together a plan for future growth and expansion of the business. I have an extensive knowledge of this business, learned over the last 20 years. I have personal relationships with many of the factory owners that produce the products we sell. Our business is a fairly recession proof business, and we draw customers from as far away as St. Louis, Little Rock, Fort Smith, Tulsa, Wichita, Kansas City, Columbia and beyond. We have customers from at least 1 of these cities every week, with few exceptions. When the economy slows, people look for ways to save money...many purchase motorcycles for the gas savings. If you have a Motorcycle, you need SOMETHING we sell. Many people get numerous items. When times are good, people buy motorcycles to have a recreational toy. Of course, they will also need what we sell. Obviously, things are better when times are good, but even the recession years produce a nice income.
At a minimum, I will give you a list of the sources for product. The greater the sale price of the store, the greater the involvement on my part. Minimum purchase price gets minimum help. NO matter what the price, you will get all the information you need to succeed in this business. I can also help you in the future by giving you purchase information of manufacturers. There are lots of places to buy product. Some are better then others. I know who makes the best of each product and can help you navigate the purchasing waters, so you get the best product at the lowest price, without sacrificing quality. I don't mind helping. I will do what I can to help you. But, I can't work everyday. I have good days and bad. You will need to understand my limitations. The main thing I have to offer is my extensive list of contacts. I not only know where to get things made, but in many cases, I know the people who own the factory. These relationships took 20 years to build, and are priceless when you are wanting to purchase product.
If the bids for whole store, The Ozark Leather Shop, are not high enough to warrant my time to help it stay open, we will then proceed to sell everything off individually. WE WILL SELL ALL THE CONTENTS OF THE STORE....INCLUDING THE $50k - $75k WORTH OF INVENTORY, FIXTURES, DISPLAYS, COMMERCIAL SEWING MACHINES, VEHICLES, LIGHTING, RIDING LAWN MOWERS AND MUCH MUCH MORE. You can see a complete list of the items that will be auctioned on www.ClintShortt.com .
Even if the store sells as a unit, there will still be a huge auction of store fixtures, wall grid, furniture, vehicles, and much much more that will be auctioned. We have inventory from our last couple businesses, as well as a huge amount of fixtures DISPLAYS, LIGHTING, RIDING LAWN MOWERS. We are cleaning out EVERYTHING and starting new. Bring your trucks, vans, and hauling equipment. There is going to be lots of things auctioned.
